FAQ

Why Choose Us?

When trying to decide between different martial arts schools, certain conditions should come into consideration and be strong factors in making your choice.

What is TAEKWONDO? Is Taekwondo the same as Karate?

Taekwondo is NOT karate! Although both forms of martial arts offer excellent training and health benefits, there are differences between taekwondo and karate that help distinguish them between each other:
Taekwondo is from Korea and karate is from Japan
Taekwondo is the national sport of Korea, and is used by the South Korean military as part of its training
Taekwondo emphasizes kicking techniques while karate focuses more on hand strikes
Taekwondo is recognized as one of the oldest forms of martial arts in the world dating back over 2,000 years ago!

Will my child get the attention he/she deserves?

Yes definitely!! We know the impact a good teacher can have on a student. Our instructors are patient and enthusiastic, and teach with a perfect blend of discipline and fun. With our low student-teacher ratio, every student receives personal attention. Our instructors are dedicated to helping all students achieve their best.

What is the atmosphere like? Is it positive and encouraging?

One of our parents put it best: "The friendly students, instructors, and positive environment are why I chose Tiger Kicks taekwondo. It feels good to be here and to have my family be a part of it." At Tiger Kicks, students are taught to cheer for and encourage one another with a "you-can-do-it" attitude.

What does the facility look like? Is it large, clean, and safe?

We take pride in the quality of our taekwondo schools. Recognized as the best in the area, our facilities provide a spacious, clean, and safe environment for our students and families.

What is the quality of the instruction? How many years and level of experience?

Tiger Kicks has taught the benefits of martial arts training to thousands of children and adults. Led by former Korean National Team member, Master Jeong Jea Kim, our schools are committed to teaching focus, confidence, and respect through the self-defense techniques of Tae Kwon Do. With over 30 years of experience, Master Kim is the best!

How does the class schedule work? Is it flexible?

We realize that today's families have busy schedules, and adding something new may be challenging. That's why we've designed our schedule with flexible class times in order to accommodate as many people's schedules as possible. Unlike other activities, you don't have to come to the same day and time each week.

Other factors? Are there special events or other benefits to consider?

In addition to our regular classes we host numerous events for our students. The key to every event is that our students and families have fun with a staff and organization they trust.
